Advantages of the CANNY Interface for your campervan
The CANNY Interface, developed by Lazer Lamps, is a CAN interface designed to enable the installation of auxiliary lights on selected vehicles using CAN communication systems, even when a 12V lighting signal is not available at the rear of the vehicle headlamps.
The system includes a CANNY dongle and wiring loom, supported by the dedicated CANNY.LZR app. It can be mounted either in the engine bay for fast and easy installation or inside the vehicle, depending on vehicle-specific CAN wire locations. Over-the-air Bluetooth synchronisation and updates further enhance ease of use and speed of installation.
The CANNY dongle features an IP68-rated automotive-standard Molex connector and includes integrated design features with cable ties to facilitate mounting. The interface allows up to 4 programmable outputs, compatible with high beam, position light, ignition, reverse, and other functions.
Activation, synchronisation, and ongoing updates are handled via the app, which provides access to installation guides, device pairing, output assignment, and testing of lighting functions. Firmware updates ensure your system stays compatible with vehicle CAN changes.
