The MAXTRAX MKII is a lightweight and easy-to-use vehicle recovery and extraction device, designed to help you get your campervan back on track when it becomes stuck in mud, sand, snow or other off-road terrain.
The aggressive cleats on the MAXTRAX MKII grip the tyre tread and the terrain underneath the vehicle, helping to prevent the vehicle from slipping backwards and providing a quick and simple way to regain traction.
Each set includes two MAXTRAX recovery boards and two orange telltale leashes. The leashes make it easier to locate the recovery boards if they become buried during recovery.
Made from UV-stabilised, flexible and reinforced engineering-grade nylon, the MAXTRAX MKII combines durability with flexibility. The boards have been tested at the University of Queensland to wrap completely around a 33-inch tyre without breaking.
With a length of 1150 mm, a width of 330 mm and a height of 85 mm when stacked, the MAXTRAX MKII is easy to store with your other campervan, overlanding or four-wheel-drive equipment. Each board weighs just 3,4 kg.
The MAXTRAX MKII also features six built-in carrying handles and a shovel at either end, allowing you to remove excess earth from around the tyre during recovery. Exclusive keyhole accessory points allow the boards to be securely mounted to your vehicle or other equipment.
The recovery boards are suitable for a wide range of vehicles and terrains, including campervans, 4WDs, ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles.
MAXTRAX MKII installation requirements
The MAXTRAX MKII does not require permanent installation for use.
The recovery boards can be placed directly underneath the vehicle's tyres when additional traction is required. If you want to carry the MAXTRAX MKII on your vehicle, the integrated keyhole accessory points can be used with suitable mounting equipment.
